Dr. Sun Xin

Sun Xin is a master degree holder, a chief physician and a postgraduate supervisor. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Jiangxi Medical College in 1989, and was awarded a master’s degree in pediatrics from Zhongshan Medical University in 1996. Sun furthered his studies at the Institute of Hematology of Beijing Medical University in 1997 and the Duke University Medical Center of the United States in 2005 respectively. He worked as the director of the Science & Education Information Department and the director of the Medical Department of the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center. He also served as the vice-chairman of the Medical Management Committee and the vice-chairman of the Medical Safety & Quality Management Committee of the Guangdong Province Hospital Association, the vice-chairman of the Medical Safety & Quality Management Branch Society of Guangdong Medical Safety Association, the standing committee member of the Blood & Oncology Specialty Committee of Pediatric Branch Society and the deputy leader of the Leukemia Unit of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the secretary-general & standing committee member of the Pediatrics Branch Society of Guangdong Medical Association, the team leader of the Pediatrics & Internal Medicine Unit of the Guangdong Pediatrics Quality Control Center, the team leader of the Children’s Leukemia Treatment Unit of Guangdong Province, the standing committee member of the Children’s Rational Drug Use Specialty Committee of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association, and, the chairman of the Pediatrics Branch Society of Guangzhou Medical Association. Sun is also the editor of Journal of China Pediatric Blood and Cancer and the accredited assessor and trainer of HIMSS and JCI certifications of the United States. He has published more than 30 research papers and has served as the project leader of 10 national scientific research projects.
